Default Just ordered a Rough Country 2.5" lift kit....any input on this??

I just ordered this kit today for $250 shipped from Suspension Lift Kits, Body Lifts, Leveling Kit, 4x4, Jeep, Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Off-road Truck
roughcountry.com
It comes with rear shocks...Are these shocks good or just same as stock??

I have looked on this forum and didn't find any info on this kit.
ANyone know anything about this kit?? GOOD, BAD????
CHEAP MADE or anything??????

Looks pretty good and easy to intall.
THe only thing I am worried about is that the front spacers are the poly rather than aluminum...is that ok?? Will they compress and lower the truck down?? Also I am worried about these shocks since I don't know what kind they are.

Any input would be great!!!!

Thanks
Mark

I had this kit for about a year before I went long travel. Held up to my jumping and abuse. Yes it did settle a little.

The rear shocks are okay, seemed to me that it was the same ride as when it wasn't lifted. All in all was great and cheap for me while I was saving up for something better.

If your truck is 4x4 I suggest getting a drop down spacer from TOTAL CHAOS. I broke CVs for a months before getting it and never replaced a CV once drop down was installed. Well worth the $20.

If you have any questions, I will try my best to help out.

Thanks a lot!!!

I don't plan on doing any off roading or jumping so I should be good.
I noticed that you have a tacoma, I have a tundra, did you use this kit on the tundra or on your tacoma????

If tundra what size tires were you able to use??? I am using stock rims..

ALso was it a pretty simple install???????????

Thanks
Mark

You are going to need coil compressors to get the spacer into the coil pack and also to change out the bolts on the top plate. It would be helpful if you have someone give you a hand.

I just rented the coil compressor from Auto Zone. I forget how much it was though, maybe $20? Then when I brought it back I was refunded my money. Took me 4 hours, was my 1st time installing a lift.
