Hello, I have a "05" tundra access cab and am having a difficult time decicing how to lift my truck.
I really hate the fact that I would have to spend big dollars and totally have to modify front axles to get manual hubs. So doing 2 or 3 inch lift with adjustable coilovers, and the stress on the cv joints without the axle mod does not sit well with the mechanic in me.
Going full tilt with an RCD 4/6" lift (seems to be the better option avialable) and having to cut the frame (no going back) is serious committment........WHAT IS OUT THERE RUNNING SUCCESSFULLY.....
I had a 93 ext. cab v6 and used northwest offroad(sway away) torsion bars and 1 1/2" rear overload springs, this was an ideal set-up on this truck. Not to radical geometry wise but gave the truck a proud stance that was not the "soft" stock ride, w/warn manual hubs.
Any input, thoughts, or real experience on choices for my "05" tundra would be very welcome.......info, links, forums???
