Default Adjusting Coilovers

Hello All,

Can anyone tell me about adjusting Donahoe c/o's? I'm using them at the factory 2" preset but would like to go higher, maybe 2.5" or 3". Is it as simple as moving the collar a half inch down? Some people tell me that with c/o's I need to have the car tested with corner weights while others say it doesn't matter.

Also, will raising it fix a rubbing issue I'm having? At the 2" preset my 33's rub under compression while turning at the rear of the well. Just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences.

BTW I have an '05 Sequoia but Tundra feedback is equally appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys/gals!

the stock plastic wheel well moulding was only meant to fit a 265/75/16 max, so unless you use a body lift or drop bracket, you will always rub the back of the well on a compression turn. no amount of coilover lift will properly solve this problem, since if you crank high enough to prevent rubbing during a compression turn, youre also really sacrificing ride quality. if you want the rubbing to stop, try a drop bracket like the rcd kit or a body lift, or a trim if youre feeling brave--check out my gallery for trimming on a tundra.

you can turn them up, estimate 1" of change at the coilovers is roughly 1.6" of change at the hub.
