Default 2.5" of lift and 33's

Hey All,

I know a lot of you are running 285/70/17 or 305 on 16's with 2.5" of lift c/o's or spacers on your tundras. Are any of you experiencing rubbing issues at the rear of the front wheel wells? Any good remedies for this besides hacking or body lifting? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW Devin67, I recieved your suggestion, thanks, I was just wondering if anyone else has any input.

Thanks all

I have 285's and based on how they fit in my wheel well, sounds like an alignment to push them back should clear that up- I had to take off splashguards though

I am running 285/65/18's which are the same as 285/70/17's. I use to run 285/70/17 with a bridgestone duelers without problems. I went to a bfg AT and noticed the lugs stuck out further and would rub on the inside framerail at full turn with a 3 5/8 backspace I believe. I changed to a 4 5/8 inch backspace and made it worse!!!! It was tearing up my fenders. I bought a used set which with custom spacing off a tundra member and they are awesome. I don't remeber the offset though. Also if you have a 4x4 2 inches is about the most you want to go with spacers before you start destroying your cv boots. There are some fixes out there such as replacing the bands with clamps.

Hey mtcheral,

Thanks for the reply. To clarify, I am getting rub at the rear of the wheel well. Does that mean I should get an alignment to push them forward instead of backwards as you mentioned? Also, I was under the assumption that alignments only fine tune your angles but are not capable of actually shifting your wheels' position forwards or backwards from where they sit in your wheel well. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I'm not an expert on it but I was there when the mechanic did my alignment after the lift and I'm almost positive he adjusted mine at least a little forward/back. But if you are having your rubbing at the rear, that's normal with a turn. Mine was only rubbing on the splashguards so i just took them off- now none whatsoever
