Suspension & AxleTechnical discussions regarding alignment, stock and modified suspensions, lift kits, axles, hub conversions, gearing and steering.
This is a discussion thread titled "Socket size for ubolt nuts?", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I found out last night, stocks are 19mm. I have aftermarket ones and they are 7/8"
I was trying to fit the 63" chevys last night but the front mount is too close to the rear axle. I'm going to have to get some mounts fabbed and welded on further away from the rear axle in order for them to fit. ARGH!!!! At least I found out that the center pin for the leaf springs had busted.
