Default Lifted Stock Ride?

Hi guys and girls, this is my first post, I just wanted to say I have read a lot of the treads on this site and I have a lot more to go. I wanted to thank you all for your useful knowledge and help in all areas.

I currently own a stock 2006 Tundra D/C 4x4 TRD. I love my truck in every way. I also love the ride. It's super smooth compared every other truck I have ever ridden in. As much as I love it, I have the bug that most of us have to make our trucks unique. I want black wheels with big off road tires on my black truck. I know I am going to have to lift it, but I want as close to stock ride as I can get. I have been told that if I go with a coil over system in the front and an add a leaf in the rear. That will get me as close to stock ride as I am going to get. That being said.

I would like to hear about different coil over systems, how they ride, and what you guys think of them. I understand that I may never get stock ride but I am hoping I can get close. I also know that tires have a lot of input on the equation.

At this point I am looking to go with Camburg, I am not sure why, I just like the look and I have heard good things about their set up. Mickey Thompson bead lock wheels(powder coated black), and either Dueler Revo tires or BFG ATs. Again thanks for all your help guys and girls. Happy Trail Blazin!

if you want a complete replacement coilover, take a look at bilstein's new offering, with the longer shaft. i think it's a 5100 series and not very expensive.

also btw the front will ride stiffer just from changing the lower control arm angle.

if you dont want to spend a lot, and are satisfied with 33s, and have the cojones to do a little bodywork on your new truck , a trim and tuck in the front wheel well will let you fit a 255/85/16 or even a 285/75/16 (or equivalent R17 sizes, or whatever you choose to run).

if you dont want to trim and are on a limited budget, daystar has a setup of poly spacers for the front where one fits in the coilover pack and one fits over the pack, and the ride is very, very close to stock.

I can't speak from personal experience but many here seem to really like the Donahoe Racing Coilovers. They also have an 1 1/2 inch Add-a-leaf or a 2 inch full leaf pack for the rear. I hear the ride on the street is nice. I think my next mod will be the DR coilovers.
