Default Help installing LSD

I'm installing a limited slip diff on the rear axle of my Tundra. Pulled the third member out and took it to a drivetrain shop so they could do the technical stuff. I have a Haynes repair manual, but it has nothing relating to the differential. Was wondering if anyone knows the torque specs on the third member nuts and is there a pattern tightening sequence? My truck only has 13,000 miles on it, so I decided to do the short cut method. I didn't disconnect the brake lines and just slid the axles out far enough to pull the third. It works real slick if you decide to go this route as you don't have to change the seals or do the brake bleed. I put a hydraulic jack under each brake drum so neither axle is touching the seal. It'll be ready to put together in a couple days.

Are you talking about the 10 nuts that hold the carrier to the axle? The manual says 54 ft lbs. I just went around all the bolts twice after I tightened them.

Anyone know about how much labor cost to get the TRD LSD installed?

DG, thanks for the torque info.

I pulled the third member without disconnecting the brakes or replacing the seals, etc. The cost to pull the third member and take it in and have a drivetrain shop install was $115. A new gasket was $7. I reassembled everything. So far, no leaks and I am impressed with the unit.
