They are not going to do any more.

I have talked to Gary and got the inside scoop. I can only say that they will no longer offer their coils.

I ordered a set from coilspring specialties. From what I understand as long as your state doesn't salt the roads for ice and snow you should be just fine.

What would salt have to do with anything?

I have Wheelers coils and I live in New England and we get our share of snow.
Salt is used on the roads in my town but like cyberbilly said whats the salt going to do?(maybe make the paint flake?) I can't see it affecting the actual coils performance?
I doubt salt had anything to do with the older coils that were reported breaking?
am I missing something here?

I have heard something along the lines of salt being corosive and their metal
"may" have lead to breakage.

This is undocumented and I can not account for any validity in this nor am I saying this is even true.

I just heard some information is all...

The wheelers coils that you have are likely not from Coilspring Specialties.

I gotta' get in on this one! I guess I would kinda' have to question that theory as well?! If salt is causing some sort of corrosion problem, which is ultimately leading to the springs' failure (i.e. where they completely break in half as reported)... then... my first question has GOT to be...

What about all those east and west coast guys, who ride up and down the "beach" all year long?! What about all that salt "water", not to mention the salt "air" ?!
