I'll tell you exactly why a lot of us have done it. Specifically when installing spacers in the front as I did that are not adjustable, you get what you get in terms of the amount of lift after installation. Sometimes the truck comes out level, sometimes slightly less in the front and in my case sometimes you get a little too much lift in the front and your headlights are up in the trees not to mention it looks just as goofy as the raked front end. So you are left with 2 options, an AAL or blocks to bring the rear up a certain amount to get you where you want to be.
In my case more than 3 years ago I had my local 4x4 shop install 1 inch daystar spacers. I needed about and inch and a quarter of lift, well i got an inch and 3/4. So i ordered the TRD AALs that people were buying at the time and had the same shop install those. That brought my back up about 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch(the thickness of the leaf), so I was now perfect with the front about a quarter inch lower than the back.
The reason guys who install adjustable coilovers come back with an AAL or blocks in the rear, they will have to answer that.
Good luck
Sammy
