Default King Coilovers + RCD 6-inch lift?

Has anyone gone this route? What can be expected by using King adjustable coilovers with an RCD 6-inch lift? I'm looking for a little more travel than the 6-inch lift provided.

Anyone have any insight?

try a search through the stuck rcd threads...a while back people were talking about combining other kits with the rcd. what you seek may already be in that thread.

the short answer is that unless the kings have an extended shaft, you wont get any more travel than normal. i 'spose that with a longer shaft, shock hoop and uniball upper you could probably get more down and uptravel than normal but im not sure if the rcd kit comes with lower bumpstops or similar.

RCD reuses the stock bump stops but they "appear" to be lower in position than where the stock ones were.

I just changed my coils to 1" long and added and extra 200lbs to the spring rate and it picked the truck up another inch but I don't get any more travel per-se due to the limited length of the bilsteins if you try to go much more on the down travel you may end up with some cv joint carnage.

Worth looking into none the less. I know that king makes a coilover to fit and I was told that Donahoe may have a set with an extension on their set up to fit.

Either way with the amount of view that the RCD lift gives for the upper control arm and the top of the coilover it will look really good!!!!
