Tired of Fabtech's falling apart on me. What do I need for original suspension?
I am sick of these fabtech coilovers I have. They have been junk from the beginning. I have finally decided I am not having them rebuilt. I am going to put on the original front struts. I bought my truck used, and it had the fabtechs on there already. So, what parts do I need besides the strut and springs to complete the front suspension?
I was quoted $525 for the front, $280 for the back parts and service by the stealership. $70 alignment. Does that sound right?
Re: Tired of Fabtech's falling apart on me. What do I need for original suspension?
You can probably get a set of stock coilovers for the front for around $100-$150 from a member here. Look in the classified section. Remove the fabtechs and install the stocks.
For the rear, same thing, all you need is to get shocks. Otherwise, you'll either remove an AAL or a block to go back to stock.

Can't say for sure if the mounting locations are exactly the same. One way to check is with the dealer. See if the part number's for the 06 are the same as your year.

Hey man, I'm upgrading the front suspention on my '06 soon, if they are compatable I'll sell you my stock setup. Only has 1000 miles on it PM and let me know if that works for you. I'm not looking to make big bucks or anything, would just like to help you out if it works.
