I clear 35's/ 315's no problem. However, I do not use the coilover spacers that came with the kit. I am using TW coilovers, that eliminate the need for it.I believe me and Tundra Thunder are the only two that Bill built these for (i could be wrong). So basically, you will probaly have to do a BL or coilovers.

For the record, back in 01-02 (cant remember exactly when) I paid like $1100 for my TC kit. I believe my TW Saw were another $900. Im running 5100 in the rear, another $80, deaver aal-$160, 4" block instead of the 3" they come with- $50. My labor to install with 2 bottle jacks on a gravel driveway in 20 degree icey weather-PRICELESS.

Anyways, my point is Ive spent the cost of the RCD kit. I haven't seen the RCD in person, but it does look more thorough and better quality. Yet, I have had no problems with my kit, so that may not be a fair statement.

He has more than 7" of lift, otherwise he might be running 37's, but he's rubbing like crazy on turns i would think

I REALLY need to wash it and then I will. It is stupid now. There is a lot of space between the tire and wheel well.

Mustang was at my house this passed weekend and he has the RCD set at 6" and a 3" PA body lift, when we parked next to eachother you would need a level to tell who was taller.

Mine's taller than yours is, na na na na na na

Careful now- Body lifts are cheap- I'll throw one on this weekend- 3" plus 7" = 10" LOL

HAHAHA I fully expected that of you, But I can always do the same, 9 + 3 = 12".

12" lift, that is just sillyness though, I bet I could sqeeze 37s easy with that.

That is a good price. I think I was right at $2,300 shipped to my door. My RCD lift has been on my truck almost 2 years now and I have not had to re-tighten or fix anything! I wheel my truck (just check my photo albums) and tow a 26' 5,600 lb travel trailer and ZERO problems. Plus at the "stock" RCD ride height and my 315's, I can still fit the truck in my garage with about 1" to spare between the roof and the door.

I honestly don't know anything about the T/C lift other than what's been discussed here. But in one year, it won't make any difference to your wallet one way or the other on what you buy.

I'm sorry you missed our outing last weekend, you could have checked out my truck in person.

By the way, if Leathernuts ever asks you about your speedo...be afraid, be very AFRAID!

Mustang told me he was headed out your way sometime in the future. I contemplated going but I believe it is the week after I get back from Floriday, or that's when Monster Jam is, not sure. I would love to come up there, but I won't be able to do it this year.

Leathernuts has asked me about all kinds of things, and yeah, I am always scared/afraid when I talk to him...

naw, u can run more than 33's on the TC 5" easily. i have the 2.5" revtek on my '06 tundra and am running 33's with no problem and almost no rubbing. i used to bub a tiny bit, but i just removed the small piece of plastic the tire caught on with a knife. 35's can be run on the 5" lift. no need to add a 3" body just to run those size tires

Hey,
I just bought a 4.5" TC lift and am pairing it with 17" american racing cannon machined rims. Everyone hear is always talking about spacers and what not, so do i need them? And what size tire do you think i could put on that would look/fit the best?

I was hoping not to go quite as big as a 35", thinking more along the lines of a 315/ or 33", but what measurement would work and look the best?

I think 33" will look to small on the 5" Tuff Country Lift. I'm running 35" on my truck and the only time it rubs is when I take a hard turns.
