Default Help please - steering rack change out

I got started today on the change out of the steering rack on my '98 Sienna. Everythin has gone reasonably well so far, other than needing to run out and buy a few extra tools. The biggest challenge so far has been busting loose fasteners but everything is now free. I got a late start and it was getting dark so I decided to hold off until tomorrow to pull the old rack out and put the new one in.

Are there any tricks anyone can offer about how to pop the U-joint free that connects the steering collumn to the steering rack. I haven't tried anything yet but as tight as the space is, it looks like it will be a bit of a challenge getting that off and then back on the new rack. Thanks in advance for your help.

Steve

Default Re: Help please - steering rack change out

Never mind, I figured it out when I got back into it this morning. The new rack is in and seems to be doing fine. I just need to get an alignment done tomorrow.
