Default Daystar coil spacer on top or in coil?

I want to level my truck out a little and give my tires some additional clearance. I have a 4wd drive that I like to offroad, but nothing too extreme. I have a set of bilstein offroad shocks that I am going to install at the same time I put in a spacer. Time to get rid of those stock (garbage) black ones that are way too soft.
My question is this: Which one would you guys recommend? I do not like how the truck dives at the stop light and would like to avoid bottoming out when cruising down backroads/trails laden with potholes and undulations. I want to do this soon so that I can ensre that all is functioning well BEFORE I do a spring fishing trip 600+ kms North of Home.
I think that I am leaning toward the in-coil spacer. Are there any issues with this? My budget will not allow for the better (more expensive) coilovers...
All advice is welcomed.

Daystars are supposed to be the "best" coil spacer (see the poll in the Polls subgroup.)

But FWIW, I have the new Bilstein 5100 lifting shocks in front now, and I'm very pleased with them. The cost isn't much different than Daystars.

The daystar kit can be had for about $60... I am only looking at the 1.5 inch lift.

This is SOOOOOO going to be a decision that you need to make.

The difference is:

Top spacer will provide stock like ride with 1.5" of lift.

Inside spacer will provide a little stiffer ride and may end up being a little over 1.5".

Neither of these will however, provide a "Stiff" ride, they are some of the best spacers out there and unlike steel or aluminum absorb shock so IMO they are the best spacer option.

They both require the same PITA to install.

Like I said TOTALLY up to you on this one.

I have a set of Days star spacers coming to me soon. Ordered them last week. Yesterday I installed a 'new to me' set of 18" wheels and rubber. After looking at the truck and driving it.....I don't think I'm going to put the spacers in. I havn't fully decided yet, but if I don't used them, you can buy them from me. 1/2 price for what I paid, duty and shipping total. If you can wait a week or so, I'll know what I'm doing.

If I do end up installing them, I can report back and let you know how I like them.

That's one mighty nice offer Canada Jeff. What size spacer/lift did you order?

I went with the 1.25" lift. I ordered the spacers that go on top of the top plate.

So like I posted, if you can wait a week or two, you can have these.

O.K. I have the spacers here, but I'm not going to use them. I like the truck fine the way it is. Rides great, and doesn't rub anything

01 Tundra, PM me and we can talk about shipping. I opened the box, but havn't unwraped the parts.
