Just wondering I have a 3" toytec spacer lift, and am looking at the Bilstein coilover lift, whats the difference? Ride better, will it still fit the 285/70/17 tire size, and how much are they?

You're looking at about $650-$700 for a set of the Bilstein coilovers. Ride should be better, but ask yourself: Is a slightly better ride worth the money?
Also, the 285s should fit provided your backspacing is right. IOW, stock rims won't cut it.

If I was starting from scratch, I might consider the new coilovers. But if I already had a lift, I doubt I'm make the change. Just MHO.

Let me tell you from somebody who has made the change on the same vehicle- coilovers are well worth the money. I have my coilovers set at an even higher lift(3")than the spacers were (2.5"), and the ride is still much better on most roads and offroad. I'll never do a spacer again, my next truck will go straight to coilovers. For me, there wasn't that much price difference either. i was able to install the coilovers myself with the hep of one friend and it only took a couple hours. Cost me a case of beer. I got a deal getting the spacers installed at $250 bucks only because a TS member helped; I had it priced at nearly $400-500 for the spacers and rear AAL's because i couldn't do the spacers myself (or wouldn't because I'm not dealing with a compressor).

Depending on what type of spacer you go with the ride will be harsher, or your suspension geometry might be off (parts making contact that shouldn't)
Personally, I am going to save my money and just go straight to the coilovers. I have heard lots of people say that they have tried spacers and ended up with coilovers at the end of it all.
I am re-organizing my pictures, please PM me if you find dead pictures and I'll fix it. Also, I don't have many pics in my account here, best place to view my truck is on photobucket: Here is my photobucket account: LINK
Ok, so what are the best for your money or best deals out there for coilovers?
Actually, I'd recommend the Bilstein 5100 Lifting shocks. They cost about as much as a spacer, they are no harder to install than a spacer, and the net result is basically the same as a new coilovers, but with about 2.5" lift.

I have to agree with mtcheral - I had spacers first on my Tacoma and now I have coilovers (SAW) and the ride is soooo much better than it was with the spacers. I have mine lifted about 2.5 with the coilovers and I personally think the truck rides better than it did when I bought it stock.
