Suspension & AxleTechnical discussions regarding alignment, stock and modified suspensions, lift kits, axles, hub conversions, gearing and steering.
This is a discussion thread titled "Mushy Ride after EZ-Lift (Spacers) and AAL", within the Suspension & Axle forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I just installed the EZ-lift 2 3/4, with a 1 inch rear aal, and the ride is awfully sploppy and mushy. If I make a quick turn the truck feels like its going to loose control. I did install BFG 285/75/16 at the same time. Does anybody have an answer for this?
The tires have a bigger sidewall so there's more roll over which is probably causing that "mushy" feeling. And yeah...you should get an alignment, otherwise those new tires won't last to long.

hmm, those tires also have a stronger sidewall and a higher load range compared to what he had stock im sure, so he wouldnt have a mushy ride from them, it should make the ride alittle stiffer. But get an alignment and x2 on the steering.

A REAL truck.
Thanks for the reply. Well the guys at the shop said they did do an alignment on them.... but i'm guessin i'll just take the truck back and have them take a look again.
Maybe it could be the shocks are blown thats what it sounds like when they get mushy and sloppy, not sure what year you have think I seen '04 but its still possible for a newer truck to do that depends how hard you rode them prior to the lift
