Default Lifting the front of a 4x4 Tundra.

I've read its best to stay around 2" when lifting the front with coilovers or something like the Bilstein adjustable shocks. If I have the diff drop and new High angle CV boots installed, can I go with 2.5"? Basically close to max height from the coilovers or the top groove with the Bilsteins.

I have around 2.5" of front lift and no diff drop or high angle CV boots installed. No vibrations, no problems. I do use spray silicon on the CV boots to keep them from binding (eventually), but you should be just fine without either. I think a lot of guys have CV boots slpit and leak right after lifting a Tundra because the boots are weak/worn in the first place and that additional angle just puts them over the edge.

I have my coilovers cranked to near 3". Have diff drop and CV boot mod done with no problems so far.
