Default Has anyone installed the Bilstein BTS-7514 coilovers on a 4WD DC?

Lots of posts saying favorable things about these units on non-DC Tundras. I'm curious about the performance and final result when installed on a Double Cab that is 4WD. Essentially, here are my questions:

1. What setting did you use (fully cranked up @ 2.5" or somewhere lower?)
2. What was the amount that the suspension was raised after installation? (measured from wheel center cap to fender lip before and after)
3. Did you install a diff drop?
4. How is the ride compared to stock (TRD or non-TRD?)
5. Did you install rear shocks at the same time? If so, which?
6. Is the truck level, front-high, or still raked a bit to the rear after the coilovers?

I am ready to pull the trigger, but I've seen a lot of conflicting posts here about installing them on a double cab. (like they can only be set to 1.5" and that when installed they don't lift the front at all over stock...

Just for comparison sake, my Tundra is a non-TRD limited with 17" wheels

Thanks in advance!

No takers on this eh? I find myself asking the same question. Manufacture says 1.5max on DC, thinking that must be to eliminate the CV problems that come with the bigger lifts but don't know that for sure

Shout out if you've found the bottom line on this one

I believe the consensus on these coilovers was that on DCs these coilovers are not recommended. For a DC, the adjustable shocks (Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Shocks) are actually recommended. DC's are too heavy for these Bilstein coilovers according to my information.

I have them on a two wheel drive doulbe cab. I am happy with the lift. I have the spring collars cranked up all the way to the highest recommended setting. It's level with the back now. The ride didn't change much at all. It's still pretty soft in the front. On the highway it has a nice smooth ride. If you are doing anything more than mild off-roading you would definitely have change to a higher spring rate. I do not have TRD shocks but I might upgrade to them.

Thanks Tundra Truck Driver! After some further sleuthing here at TS it seems you are right. I guess the 5100 lifting shocks or other Coil-Overs are the way to go if you don't want to use spacers.
