Default Stone Chips

I put a set of Westin nerf bars on my '06 DC. Ever since then, I've been getting a lot of stone chips near the bottom of the driver side doors. Coincendence, or do the bars deflect debris up to the doors? Also wondering if the touch-up paint from my dealer is the best way to fix 'em (without spending mucho bucks). Are there clear shields available, like the ones on the fender?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

3M makes a clear mask for keeping stones and bugs and such from scratching and chipping your paint. im pretty sure it can be cut to put anywhere on your vehicle that you want to keep chip-free!!

I Believe The Theory With The Steps Is That Any Stone That May Hit The Rocker Panels Or Doors Will Be Deflected Downward By The Steps.. I Have The Factory Challenger's And Haven't Noticed Any Chips On Mine...yet.
