Depends on what kind of cap you want. A tonnoue cover or a full cap? I have heard of people mail ordering tonnoue covers, but not full caps. Main reason is the weight vs. shipping. Also, most places are going to install them for you no charge.

I would suggest looking local or visit the manufactures website and then use the locate dealer location to find a dealer close to you.

There was a thread a few days ago about cap recommendations. I believe most leaned towards the LEER, but you will find A.R.E, LEER, SNUGTOP, SWISS, etc. to all be decent brands. Just depends on the look you want. I really like the SNUGTOP, but there is not a deal near me. So I have been pricing the A.R.E. and the LEER, and for me in the Cincinnati area, the A.R.E. has a better price break.

It just depends on what you want. Also, check for manufacture coupons on the websites.

Good luck!

chris

I've purchased caps for a long time. The retailers always want to measure for themselves and verify paint code. Maybe there're exceptions. I've bought other makes, but my last two were A.R.E. CXs. An upgrade from the CH. At $1200 after the online coupon they're a decent deal. The slider folds down for easy access for cleaning the cab window. It's fully carpeted. Nice for the money.
