Newbie 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x2 2.7L

I am a first poster and new around these neck of the woods.

Got a question.

Never owned a Toyota before and I just bought yesterday a Toyota Tacoma. I want to do an oil change but I have no clue how much oil it holds with a oil filter change. Can someone help me and tell me how much oil to put in???? I do not have a owners manual as of yet. Thanks a bunch.

If I remember correctly my 4x4 2.7 held about 4.5 quarts.

Just pour in about 4.5 quarts, then start it, let it run for a minute then check your oil. If it needs more, add a little more.

Most of the time I ended up putting in all 5 quarts. Most vehicles will burn a small amount of oil and if not, that much little extra isn't going to hurt it.

2007 2.7L 4-Cyl

6.1 quarts (with new filter) /5W-20 or 0W-20
