Fuel Mileage

I'm hoping to get some info from you guys regarding what the new body style Tacoma's get for mileage? I'm wondering how realistic the 20 or 21 mpg rating is on the sticker.

Very realistic...do a search and you could probably spend about a year reading all the 'gas mileage threads'. However, you will find extreme gas mileage swings from members. Personally, I don't drive my truck extremely hard, run 89 octane, 4.0L auto, 60% highway/40% city and average 20-22mpg.

Well I hoping to get better then I have. When I got my truck the guage said full but since I didn't really know how much they put in I waited until I had filled it up the second time to check the millage. My second tank gave me 15.5 mpg . I'm hoping this is just because it's a new engine and I've been doing stupid driving (just to have some time in it)

I know in my '89 V6 pickup I consistently got 20 mpg.

i have a 2006 tacoma v-6 4.0 6-speed Access Cab 4x4 TRD and i get 18 to 19 mpg

when i first drove mine i got 150 miles first tank! towing trailer with qauds and gear...it has improved alot

I was hoping the mileage might be better. That sure would help provide a bit more incentive to sell off my F150 and go with something more efficient. But I'm getting 17 now. Oh well.

My truck has 6500 miles on it, my best mpg so far 23.4 and worst is 17.0. My Scangauge II shows me when to take my foot off the gas when trying to achive best milage, or how much I'm spending with my foot goes to floor

oh yeah mine has 27000 miles

2006 Taco Prerunner Access 6 cyl Automatic 10,000 miles

17.5 to 19.00 around town. Don't get on the highway very often so no long distance mpg figures.

When new was getting about 16 mpg, but it got better over time.
