Default More Power

O.k. here it goes. I know much of this has been covered but the info is spread out over the whole net. I have a 2005, Tacoma, 4x4, TRD Sport, 4.0 V6. My mods are: Downey Offroad intake (K&N), Gibson stainless cat back exhaust. My gripe is, despite the mods, I don't think my power has gone up. I'm thinking about getting the JBA headers. I am also thinking about getting a chip or the maf recalibrator. Are any of you in the same boat as me? Is the Unichip a good way to go? Or is it a waste of money? Thanks in advance. . .

Anyone out there with similar mods? Please let me know what you think about the intake and exhaust. Anyone with the JBA headers? Chip?

Thanks in advance

I have the TRD CAI, It's louder under the hood but like you I cant notice any power gains either. I've read the URD MAF calibrator is the way to go to correct air/fuel mixture, but I havent tried anythign yet.

I'm interested in what people are doing to the 2.7 4 cylinder to get more power. It's adequate, but not really great. I have a K&N high flow drop in filter so far. What have you guys done?

I've got the Volant CAI and am looking into the JBA headers and exhaust and possibly a chip as well. Need some experience on these products in this thread.......

I have the AFE CAI combined with the Helix Power Tower throttle body spacer and I can feel a great deal of more power.

Definitely have more stuff since I completed the flow. Don't think there is a chip out there yet for the new Taco. May look into that URD MAF thing and possibly the TRD Supercharger.( If it ever comes out!!!)

Well, for about $50 bucks a month more, I found out how to get tons more power! I traded my taco in for a 5.7L Tundra, gobs of power and the best bang for the buck, lol!
