TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 2005 and later Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "How to install an Ipod adaptor", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I just purchased the Ipod interface from Crutchfield a 581PA12. Any tips on how to remove the radio to install it? Not sure as to how the trim can be removed. Thanks for the help. I have the JBL 6 disc changer with the controls in the steering wheel on my 2007 Tacoma.
I don't have the links handy, but if you do a quick search of the forum (something like "ipod adapter"), there are at least 2 or 3 helpful posts with step by step instructions...
gdctaco, those are by far the best instructions I have seen ever for pretty much anything. Imagine you print those out to have them them handy during the install, especially something like #12, and your wife gets a look at them ...
wait, i just removed my radio earlier today, but that girl wasn't there when i did it. Maybe i'll go back out and try it again. lol. It's pretty basic to remove the radio, the hvac, then 4 bolts and then your good.
