Default 2005 Prerunner 5 SPD Auto rear seal

Has anyone replaced a rear seal on the 5 spd automatics yet? Just wondering what to expect. Can I just take out the drive shaft and remove the seal?

I noticed the balancer at the end of the transmission always has fluid dripping from it. The truck has 90,000 miles. The good news is that the fluid is still good and red even at 90,000 but I don't tow or run it hard.

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Yes, remove the driveshaft and pry out the seal.

Just mark the center bearing on the driveshaft around the 2 bolt holes to get the center support back in the correct spot when the driveshaft goes back on, and mark the pinion and driveshaft flange to get those back in the same spot as well.
