I would buy another one in a heart beat! I've had my Tacoma for 29 months and I still love it. I've owned several really nice cars and I even bought and still own my dream car, but I've owned nothing that I like much more than this truck. In a few years when the miles start to pile up I will probably get another one, unless the have screwed up the design by then.

LOVE my truck.. but lately i have been toying with the idea of maybe should have gotten a tundra reg. cab to better suit my needs(check my avatar; now that is a good looking truck!). however, my truck is so versatile, esp. with the fold down rear seats(perfect for my golf clubs). short bed not too long and fits my surfboard in the bed(diagonally). and it gets such good gas mileage that a tundra would NEVER see, unless I drove 60-65 and thats not happenin! also, love the styling. when i see a frontier or any other truck on the road, i never really look twice as they all blend in; cookie-cutter, IMO. but i check out EVERY tacoma that passes cuz i just think they look so good. and it reaffirms my purchase every time.

I still love my truck and don't regret it.

The only thing I regret buying is the stupid Toyota bugshield that's completely useless and has scratched up the hood.

Woah... didn't see that coming after reading all of these nice things happy Toyota owners have to say.

What do you not like about your truck? I am assuming the list is rather long with that statement or are you joking?

I say it's a "Rib"....fess up now!!

I'm on the upside here too...I'd buy my truck again tomorrow!!

Yes, there have been some problems with the new design. With anything out there made today, gonna be some good and bad. And with the exceptions, it seems that most of us here have been able to resolve our issues.

I have been lucky. Only the leaf spring TSB and the front mud flap issue so far after almost 3 yrs and 40,000 miles.
The Dbl. cab would have been nice, but I like the "Sorry I dont have enough room in the back" excuse, and wasn't crazy about the DC LB.

Yup, we can all list the things we wish the truck had, didn't have or changed. I'm going to make the changes I want, and be happy doin' it! I'll even bet some of them will be better than if Toy did it anyway!!!

And I would still get Black too!!!

I like black and have been sorry I didn't buy black. They had the truck I wanted but the color was wrong and I didn't want to wait.

To keep it short, call up some of my past forum posts and read 'em... From the start I've had problems with the Tacoma, the first truck being returned under the Lemon Law. It didn't get any better after that...and it appears the joke is actually on me - complements of Toyota.

Yes, I would still buy a Tacoma. But with a little less enthusiasm.

My experience with other makes has proven to me that Toyota is the best choice when it comes to reliability. I have had fewer problems with my Tacoma than I ever had with other brands.

But, even so, I don't think the new generation Tacoma is a solid as the old ones. I think Toyota has taken the stance that since most poeple drive their trucks like cars that it should be more car-like. And for many of us, this is true and we can be satisfied with the Tacoma the way it is.

The new generation Tacoma definitely offers more car-like comfort than the old ones. And I drive my Tacoma like a car and only occasionally haul or tow anything. But if I needed a work truck I would have to look elsewhere.

The Tacoma has sort of a split personality. Get inside the cab, and you say "hey this is kind of nice!" Load stuff into the back and you have to ask yourself "what was Toyota thinking?"

When I go to work or on a trip, I enjoy my 05. When I need to haul something, I wish I had my 97.

No I would not buy one again. I would go back to my 99 tacoma. I don't like the larger size.

my tacoma sits in a parking lot at work with a new 2500 hd chevy 4xr4, a new ford f450 4x4, a new tundra just to name a few....

i still love my tacoma and would buy it all over again, fits in places that these larger trucks can't.....i feel more agile and nimble (like a cat)!

I absolutely would buy my Tacoma again. I love it. It is not perfect but with a few mods it's damned close. I think it is only lacking in a few luxury areas, like leather seats and iPod connection... the iPod connection I've cured. Great looks, good ride, quality built and dependable. All the things I want in a truck.

FYI: 07, silver, DC, 4x4, TRD-Off-road, loaded. The interior light mod is a key mod for DCs.

Thank you IRMTBR!

Please, my reponse is not intended to offend or put anyone's opinion down! I'm trying to point out how people's priorities and needs are different.

Some people would prefer leather seats and an iPod connection.
I would like a stronger tailgate and better springs.

Wonder which one Toyota marketing payed attention to? Or will pay attention to in future versions of the Tacoma?

I'll bet we are offered the leather seats and iPod connection before any structural improvments. It looks like Toyota feels that luxury comes before utility.

But despite this, I still think I'd buy one again... One can just hope that Toyota listens to both of us!

I love the look on the new Tundras, and sometimes I just wish I had something bigger, but my PreRunner does suit me just fine right now...better on gas, too!
