I would buy another one, and lift it the same way.

I thought about the Tacoma. Even test drove one. It was very nice but so damn small! The bed was way to small. I went with a tundra double cab.... less money and really about the same gas mileage so it was a no brainer! That said I think the Taco looks better lifted

Absolutely!!

I'll be 50 soon and in my 33+ years of legal driving it's one of the best vehicles I've ever owned.

I'd pull the trigger for another one in a heartbeat.. It's been the most reliable vehicle I have ever purchased. Not one trip to the dealer for anything in it's 40k mile life so far. Sure it might need a "little of this or that" but what vehicle doesn't..

Absolutely. Mine is the perfect size for me, and I'm loving the consistent 19-20mpg for mostly city driving. So glad I didn't get a fullsize truck with the gas prices the way they are now. The Tacoma isn't without flaws, but it does everything I need.

YGTBSM, do you really believe that? You've got a bigger, heavier truck with a bigger engine that gets worse gas mileage and if you're happy, then good for you, but please don't ask us all to nod in agreement and pretend that Taco's and Tundra's get about the same gas mileage.

After all of the problems I've had with my '06 PreRunner V6 and especially the terrible service department experiences (at multiple dealerships) I would not buy another Toyota at this time. Until Toyota improves quality and starts showing that they care about customer satisfaction they have lost my business. FWIW, I used to have great experiences with Toyota vehicles.

After about 14 months of ownership and almost 20,000 miles later, I love my 07 Double cab longbed. After a few mods to the engine, it has plenty of power to spare. I went on a 2600 mile road trip (with a heavy trailer) and the only things I would change is to somehow make the door armrest and center armrest MUCH more softer....my elbows were killing me at the end of the trip. Sometimes I wish I had an 05/06 Tundra D-Cab simply for the bigger interior.

If I had the chance to do it all over, I would have gone back to 2001-2004 era. My 2007 is nothing but a headache with people hitting me (and not having insurance) and a clutch disc separating at 21K.

I'm on the fence. My 05 has given me lots of problems. In the first 6 months of ownership, I spent a total of 28 days in loaner cars because the truck was in the shop for one thing after another. Most recently, the problem is excessive frame rust. I've been thinking of getting rid of it, so this week I test drove two 09s and was not impressed. The first one had the windshield whistling noise at 30mph, and the second one had a really loud engine tick. I thought these two well-documented and common problems had finally been fixed, but apparently not.

I guess it's luck of the draw unfortunately. I haven't had a single problem with my 07 for the 20,000 miles I've put on it. Too bad to see Toyota's quality starting to go downhill.

I love my truck and I haven't had any problems with it. Brought it new in May of 2005. It only has 25K miles and just put a nice set of Michelin Cross Terrains on which made if ride better than when I got it new.

Answer is - Yes
