I know I already posted on this, but at this point in my life (new house, newly married, getting more tools, hauling more, etc), I wouldn't buy it again. Only due to the size. I would like a fullsize bed and cab. I don't offroad hardcore anymore, so any exploring I do, can be done in a fullsize with a decent set of tires. The truck is nice for sure, it just doesn't fit my needs.

I would do it again and I did do it again. I traded in my 07 Tacoma last year for an 06 Tundra DC. Don't get me wrong, the Tundra was a nice truck, but I missed my Tacoma. Sooo, last month I found a great deal on an 08 Tacoma and I bought it. Tundra was a great truck, but it was over-kill for my needs, pain in the a$$ to park sometimes and gas mileage sucked (I know, I know if I wanted good mileage should have bought a Prius). Currently average 21.5-22mpg with a couple tanks hitting 23mpg (drive 50 miles each day on the highway to get to/home from work) For my needs, the Tacoma fits the bill and I have nothing to prove/compensate for that compeles me to own a full-size truck. Pretty much the only thing I really miss about the Tundra is the power rear window.

Didn't your old truck have a 6" lift or am I thinking someone else?

Just traded in my 2007 Tundra for a 2010 Frontier 4x4 , I looked at Toyota but the too many incentives on the Nissan. I previously had a 2002 prerunner with the 2.7. Loved it! Definitely would but another Tacoma, if they would kill the Gulf State Toyota crap and there was incentives. a v-8 would upp the ante as well(currently 2500 on Fronties)

Tacoma's Bullet-Proof Reputation for Reliability? Let's see . . . Toyota had to issue a buyback for all of the 1990's Tacomas because their frames were rusting through, and recently Toyota had to extend the corrosion warranty on the 2000-2004 Tacomas because their frames are rusting through, and guess what--the frames on our trucks are rusting through too. The quality issues with Toyota, including the recent massive safety recall, raise a big red flag. Let's just say that quality and good resale value are no longer part of the Toyota overall package. I'd still buy another Tacoma, sure, but I'm open to looking at other brands, and if Toyota still thinks they can charge sticker price based on their reputation for quality, forget about it!
