Default Bilstein 5100 Long Term Reports

So, now that these (5100 adjustables) have been out for a while, and hopefully some people have had a chance to try them out, how is this setup working for you guys? How is the spring sag? How well are they controlling the truck offroad? Onroad? I'm considering going this route, but I'm still leary and wondering if I should simply fork the money over for SAWs. I would like to hear back from some of the members running this setup (preferably on 05+ trucks) on how it's working out for them.

i've been running them since early fall and they've been great so far. i just need bigger wheels now to fill the gap after the lift. the handling on and off road has been much better since i did the switch, and i would recommend these to anyone looking for a cheap alternative to coilovers
granted there are other issues that come into play when you lift the truck that you need to be aware of

k&n intake
be able to pay off the truck!

such as...

since the lift is so minimal, what kind of issues should we look out for?
CVs? Diff?

Thanks.

oh boy ! Guys, beware of these 5100's - if you have a 4x4. I put these in about 1month ago- ive driven the truck a bout 100miles - and im trying to figure out how to remove them. all kinds of issues with noises from the diff/CV/something - alot of people have the same prlbem - and its only on the 4x4.

if Bilstein would of said that - i would of never bought them. i still dont know why there is a hum/noise/vibration - but im afraid to drive anywhere until i figure it out.

ill let you know what i find - but i dont know if buying these are worth it - especially with the other issues you will have - immediately afterwards..

sheesh! im even considering buying the stockers again - since i didnt keep them - and the place i didi it at already got rid of them.

'06 4x4, had em for over a year. no problems whatsoever. 1.75" setting. if you're on the fence still, just go ahead and get them. if you're not happy with them for some reason, drop them back to the stock setting and get some old man emu coils for lift. still cheaper than icons or saws. i think toytek makes a coil-conversion for the 5100's now.

It's been a while since I posted this. I've since decided against them for many reasons. For one, my coils are nearing the end of their life, and the 5100s would simply only advance their already shortened time. I'm also not spending any money on the truck as of now. I need to save for a house and wedding. When I do have money for the truck, I will put a full OME with Dakar's most likely.

I've been researching lifts and I'm coming to the same conclusion that OME is the best way to go (at least, it seems to be the most thoughtfully designed system).

Any chance you've gotten the kit yet? I'd love to know how it's performing, any trouble, etc.
