A nice picture of Taco size travel trailer I'm taking to Utah next weekend. Dry weight is 1680 lbs. Has almost everything, satellite TV, air conditioner, shower/bath, microwave, stove, furnace, fridge. Holds 25 gallons of fresh water. I'm putting a KTM 520EXC dirt bike in the bed of the Taco, and Honda 3000IS generator. The generator may be overkill, but it runs a toaster and space heater, microwave and A/C. But even without it, the Tacoma's little 400/100 inverter is very handy with this rig, for quitely powering the satellite receiver and TV.
I'm getting almost 14 mpg, and it tows easily in 6th gear. The hitch weight is under 200 lbs. I installed Air Lift springs, and although not absolutely necessary, it makes handling this load a breeze. I am under the payload rating of the Tacoma, with all the accessories going with me. This is camping in the age of $4.50 gasoline.
