Default Quick question about an 07' Prerunner

i know this is probably a stupid question, but i just bought a used 2007 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Double cab. Is the "4" thats next to the "D" supposed to be used when i am towing something? and when i am just regularly driving, i should put it on the "D" ?

For most conditions, just use "D", the trans can figure it out... However, if you are towing, or in mountain driving, or any other situation that causes the trans to go back and forth from 4th to 5th gear more than usual, slide it into 4th. Your tranny will thank you.

PS It's not a stupid question.

Splicer is right.. Remember your Taco has a 5-speed + overdrive A/T.
