Default Front leveling Kit Effects on Gas Mileage

I understand aerodynamics and the original design of the vehicle and why the front end is lower than the rear. I figured most of this is due to the fact the truck is designed to tow; however, most cars are also situated at this angle to allow for better aerodynamics.

Does anyone have numbers on how much a 2.5" front leveling spacer will actually effect your gas mileage on the 4.0 Liter V6?

Thank you

I actually leveled my Taco w/ 2.5" lift also. Basically because after the TSB was done (which added about 1" to the rear) it looked damn ugly..
Anyways, I used to get 18-20mpg without any of them done (front lift and rear TSB). Now I get 18-19mpg. Not a big difference in milleage, but a big difference in looks!

Thanks for the help, that pretty much made up my mind to do the leveling kit. Ive viewed the instructions online and the install of the spacer on the IFS seems more difficult than my Jeep obviously. Did you have to use a spring compressor to install the spacer or any other tools I may not have here at home?

Thank you

Yes I actually had to get a Spring Compressor from a friend. It took some time but it wasn't that hard. You actually need basic tools + spring compressor, some jack stands and a hammer for those "hard to get off" things.. Anyways, it's a "DIY job", can do it all alone and most spacers come with step-by-step instructions. Good Luck!

You don't need a spring compressor if you get a strut mount spacer:
