TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 2005 and later Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "2009 Tacoma Prerunner/4x4 Access Cab Photos", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
All the rumors Im hearing claim that the interior is different, but that its not a complete redesign.
It shouldnt be due for a complete redesign until the '10 model year...
Toyota typically goes 5 years between redesigns.

Thanks, Da Hui, for the exterior pics. However, if you go to your local dealership you can ask for a copy of the Dealership Truck Talk broschure. It's meant for the salespeople only, but they will give it to you if you ask for it. The interior of the Access Cab has been completely redesigned. I am seeking photos of that that too.
Our dealership just got two 09 tacomas in today. Both were sport doublecab 4x4s. Not a big fan of the new led taillights, but I guess they are an improvement over the old ones with the pink in them. The interior looked the exact same to me as did the front with the exception of the smoked headlights. THe post above me mentions that the acess cabs interior was redesigned...how so? I cant find anything different on the double cabs.

Reason: add
If you work at the dealership in Cedar Rapids, then you should have already received your copy of "Truck Talk." It's provided to 'you' by University of Toyota. It comes out every month. The May or June issue lists all the '09 updates with a few closeup pics. Turn the page and it discusses the uses of VSC.
I don't like the tail lights either. they look cheap. just like the tail lights on the Lexus RX 350. Not everyone who drives these vehicles are still in high school/college.
I just looked at the first 09 Tacoma Access Cab my local dealer got in. The only changes to the interior are the radio area and the back seat design with added subwoofer. Everything else is the same. I didn't notice any difference in the front door panels either like claimed. Oh and about a $1000.00 increase in the sticker price. But interesting enough, the model I looked at was a 6-speed manual and the mpg ratings on the sticker were 14/19? What's up with that?
