This is a discussion thread titled "Roof Rack", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I have an 07 tacoma and would like to install the factory roof rack/rails,
Can anyone tell me how difficult this will be? Do you half to take down the factory headliner?
Thanks
I installed my roof rack my self. You dont have to remove the head liner. You do have to remove the weather striping on the roof, and the holes are under the striping. They are covered in tape and are painted over. You do have to cut a bit of the clip that holds ths stock striping down per the instructions. It took about 2 hours to do. I was taking my time, and got side tracked on something else when I was doing it.
Thanks for the info, can i ask a few more questions please?
Is your's factory? did it come with instructions and hardware?
Any way to get a copy of instructions? Any pics of finished?
Thanks for your help.

Its a factory part, i ordered it from Toyota of Dallas, and they shipped it here. I think it was 260 or so in December. The local dealer wanted over 350 for it. It included all the hardware. The only thing i needed to buy was metric allens since I did not have any. I cant find the instructions any more, but here is a pic with it on my truck.
