This is a discussion thread titled "Rust on Wheels", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
The steel wheels on my wife's 2005 Tacoma are starting to pit. (The steel wheels on her 1992 and 2002 Toyota did the same thing.) Any suggestions for a paint that will hold up to being driven on gravel roads. I don't want to mess with powder coating them. My local auto body paint shop can match the color, but it is acrylic lacquer and not all that "tough".
