Short Story version

Bought 08 Tacoma SR5 TRD Sport last Novemeber.. Have never ever been able to get over 400 kms to a tank ( roughly 250 miles ) but my last tank I was able to sqeeze out 600 ( roughly 370 miles ) to a tank. Lately it has been very warm here so the AC was on most of the time. Not sure what happened the truck just turned 9000km ( 5500 miles ). I welcome the increased fuel economy !! Oh ya it was on 89 octane

Had to share this.. I am happier then a pig in s&*t

Lets hope that every tank in the future gets better & better

Hmmm, maybe your fuel gauge is on the fritz?

j/k, glad your mileage has improved with break-in miles on the truck. Have you done the math to see what your mpg (Canadian kpl?) actually is?

Heh, I still use miles per gallon, except the gallons is in imperial, not US. The official Canadian fuel consumption measurement is supposed to be "liters per 100 km" but that makes no sense at all.

I have the same truck with 3200 miles on it.
I can only get 17mpg on average.
I can only hope it increases with time!

Thats pretty good. I'm guessin yours is V6? I have the 4-cylinder and I've maxed out at about 480 miles on a tank and average about 19 MPG.

That's similar to the 350mpg I get. Not bad. Engines break in over time and you'll find it may even improve as you hit 10K or 15K miles.

If you keep it under 2k revs on the highway it jumps pretty high. I have a 06' sport with 32k miles and was getting 24mpg when I was doing it.
