Default a few ?'s for prerunner owners...

Can anyone that owns a 2005+ pre runner tacoma with TRD package and crew cab tell me what you are getting for gas mileage. I am looking to buy one and would like to know if they are any better on gas that the 4x4's and by how much.

thanks

Im getting about the same as Wilson. Possibly a little better because I've got an AEM air intake.
I try not to keep tabs on my fuel usage so I don't really notice how badly Im being raped.

How long you had your 4x4? Wondering why you'd want to take the $ hit to trade for a another, just a 2wd. 200 lbs lighter, no transfer case, seems the sticker rating of 1 mpg better sounds right to me.

Mine is still new (around 1,000 miles) but I've been averaging around 21mpg per tank.

I get 18.3 mpg mixed highway/city in my 2005 DC TRD2 with a Snugtop shell and a slightly taller 265 75 16 tires . It makes no difference if I use 87 or 89 octane.

Same here. I've been tracking my mileage since I got the truck new in June of 2007. About 18.3 mpg. 75% city.
