TacomaGeneral discussion forum for the 2005 and later Toyota Tacoma.
This is a discussion thread titled "Anyone's elses bed not square to the cab?", within the Tacoma forum, part of the Truck Forums category.
I've got an 09 Tacoma, and the bed of the truck is even (flush to the cab) on the drivers side, but isn't even on the passenger side. It's about 3/4 of an inch from being flush with that side of the cab.
I'll see if I can post some pics of it later.
Just trying to see if anyone elses wasn't lined up left to right like mine.
If its perfect on one side and not on the other go to the side that the bed sits in further to the cab and loosen the bolts on the inside of the panel between the cab and bed. pull the fender/quater panel out untill its flush and tighten the bolts. Our beds have removable fenders not one piece like the old truck. if you look between the cab and panel you will see the bolts.
I had a problem with the box alignment, and it turned out to be a problem with the cab mount(s). The box was fine. Not saying yours is the same problem, but for those with cab/box problems, get them to check the cab.

Made in America!! Gotta love it. My Tacoma came with slanted 'Tacoma' door badges so I took them off. Who the F was working that day?

Honestly, Toyota is selling too many trucks on reputation. They need to seriously look at their US operations and get a grip on overall quality. Their trucks are bigger and faster than previous generations, and are very stylish, but they are NOT what they used to be. It is for all intents and purposes a US truck with the Toyota name on it, and I don't like that.
