Default Is it possible?

Can you add bilstein 5100 shocks in the front then put a 2.5 inch spacer on top of them?

Yes, as long as you remove your cv shafts, replace your ball joints with some high misalignment ones and modify your steering. So......it can be done but you're better off paying the $$$ for a 6 inch kit.

Alright thanks guy. I have a regular cab tacoma and I dont want to go all out with a 6inch lift because i am getting a double cab in 3 years after i save up enough money. I am just trying to find out what would be my best options because i would really like to fit 33s under there with very minor rubbing, such as on plastic not the upper a arm. Any ideas?

Toytec and Bilstien advise against it. I'm sure its possible, but doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

i wouldnt do that. I dont know if you can or cant - but it may over-extend the suspension to the point that it would feel horrible.

do you have a 4x4 ? if you do - i wouldnt even put them on. if its a PreRunner its ok.
