Question 6 speed problem

Just curious as to how many have had the roll pin in their tranny fail?
Last night I got to 5 on the shifter and everything went bad; now stuck in 5th gear, stick is all over the place. I can feel the indents on the top of the pattern but not on the bottom and it won't come out of 5th. Wondering if this is a chronic issue. Thanks.

No reply, I guess that's a good thing and I just had bad luck. The problem is somewhere inside. The shifter, rollpin and all else on top is o.k. Tranny has to come out. Hopefully it's not a weak spot in the 6 spd trans. and a one time occurance.

Still under warranty right? Toyota should take care of you. From what I have heard these are pretty solid tranny's so I guess (okay hope) its a fluke!
