Default Question About Windscreens

Question for anyone who has a windscreen:

How much do they really help keeping the bugs away from the vehicle? I'm assuming they may also help protect the critical area on the front part of the hood for nicks and dents from road debris? Last question I saw something on the Tundra page where people complained about having trouble with some scratches created in the area where the windscreen is installed.....does this sound familiar?

Thanks in advance for any feedback, I really appreciate the very informed people here!

Default Re: Question About Windscreens

I have one and I would say it helps some, but it's not going to completely keep bugs from hitting the windshield.

I bought mine from Wade and it attaches by using 5 screws that screw into existing holes on the underside of the hood. It does not touch the painted part of the hood at all so no risk of the paint getting damaged.
