Default no factory keyless option?

Hey, I bought a basic 08taco prerunner 6cyl w/ double cab. It was so basic it didnt come w/ a keyless entry nor alarm. I went out and bought the VIP RS3200plus because that was recommended for Toyota. It's installed but there isnt a remote keyless module installed in my truck for the alarm to work with. At first, i called the dealership and was told they had one by looking up my VIN #. When I go to buy someone else at parts counter says its a factory item only. No dealership carries the remote keyless entry module. If I knew that it would be such a pain to get this going, i would have bypassed what Toyota reccomends and went w/ a Viper alarm w/ keyless entry or something of the like. Does anyone have an idea? Should I contact the Tacoma factory in California to see if they sell part to public? Also, Ive added a locking gas cap recommended from tacomanut.com. Seems to not affect the sensor so far. Does anyone know where to buy a lock for the gas door? Id rather have that than the locking gas cap.

If you're interested in your locking gas cap or locking fuel filler door because you don't want someone dumping something in there that shouldn't be there, then great. If you're worried about siphoning, then don't bother. These tanks cannot be siphoned because there's a metal screen in the filler tube.
