TSB Warranty?
Are ALL TSB's supposed to be honored and reparied under warranty whether or not you can prove the problem? Or do some restrictions apply?
I recently took my 07 DC 4x4 Tacoma in for 5 TSB's and this is what they had to say:
Bent Rear Tailgate BO018-07:
Dealer: "Unless we see anything bent externally, we can not issue a repair order for the TSB"
Isn't this an internal error in the tailgate? How would I be able to know unless it is opened. What if something happens after my 36000 mile warranty?
Windshield Wind Noise NV006-07:
Dealer: "We hear the noise at approximately 35 mph. We can not issue a repair order unless we remove your roofrack and do a retest"
I personally thought this was BS because the aftermarket roofrack was installed by a toyota dealer AND I do not hear anything until I reach speeds of 65-70 mph.
Rear Spring Harsh Ride SU006-07:
Dealer: "We can not issue a repair order unless you have actually carried heavy cargo in the bed"
I told the dealer that I havent carried anything heavy yet, BUT did find the ride to be very harsh at highway speeds and/or over the littlest bumps.
Engine "No Start" Condition EG011-07:
Dealer: "Unless you've had issues with starting your vehicle, we can not issue a repair order"
I am not to concerned about as I have not had any issues and the warranty is up 96 months or 80000 miles.
Techstream ECU Flash SS002-07:
Dealer: "You vehicle does not apply"
Not to conerned as there is no limit to warrany according to dealer.
Any advice as to what I should do? Or can I even do anything at all? I know its not a safety issue but I really don't feel like sitting around waiting until something may or not go wrong or until my warranty is up.
Am I missing any TSB's listed?
Thanks ahead for any feedback!
