Audio controls on steering wheel

Has anyone been able to find out any information on adding the audio controls on the steering wheel of a tacoma?

The trd sport package has them.

TRD Sport only if it has the up-graded cd changer. Mine has the standard radio-- no steering wheel controls.

I did it on my 2006. It is very expensive and I am an idiot for doing it. You need 1. a new steering wheel (with audio controls), 2. new air bag module for audio control steering wheel (has smaller plastic cover that fits inside new audio control module on steering wheel. Plastic cover is riveted to air bag module and cannot be purchased separately) and 3. audio control specific steering wheel hub that allows audio control cable to plug into it. Total cost is around $1000 list.

Ouch. But I'm sure you learned a lot.

My 05 TRD Off-road has it. I also have the 6-disc changer (non JBL).
