Default Auto LSD

I have read alot of posts about how the Auto LSD works (using the brakes insteal of clutches), but does anyone have first hand experience as to how well is works compared to the mechanical version? I bought an 09 Prerunner SR5 but havent been in a situation that has called for the Auto LSD yet. Thinking of installing a locker.

My 09 DC4x4 V6 is my first truck with traction control (6th Taco), it makes usable in the snow in 2wd. It works better than my wife's 08 Lexus 400h. I only turn it off in the Mud.

The ABS based LSD's are great if you do mild stuff or are dealing with snow. If your doing serious off-roading you probably want the real mechanical deal.

On road or light trails the ABS is going to be a lot less obtrusive & easier to deal with on a day to day basis. I've been very happy with mine dealing with snowy/icy roads here in Colorado in the winter.
