Default Intake installation

Is it bad for the vehicle if you did not disconnect the neg battery term when installing an intake . I installed the K&N intake 2 years ago and the instructions didn't mention to disconnect the neg battery terminal.

2 years later i would not worry about it at all ;-DD

but i would recommend doing it
it sure would prevent a short in the wiring from ruining your day when installing it .
it also resets the computer to relearn ;-D

My K&N instructions listed that as one of the first things to do.
