Does anyone know exactly how many grease fittings are on a 2008 DC 4x4?

Oughtta be the same as any 2005+ 4x4 -- three on the rear driveshaft and two on the front driveshaft, for a total of five.

So there is none on the front suspension (ball joints, etc)?

That is correct, suspension and steering have no grease fittings -- only the u-joints have zerks, and those are only on the 4x4 trucks.
2wd trucks have none at all....

Yep - Splicer is right - just did mine last weekend, and there are a total of 5. The one thing I never figured out is greasing the slip joint. The manual specifies a grease for it but it is covered in a boot and you can't get to it. Never have seen an answer to that one yet.
