Santiago Peak, Cleveland National Forest
Some buddies and I hit the 28-mile Sanitago Peak run in the Cleveland National Forest this weekend. It was a fairly mello trail with a number of interesting and challenging side trails. We initially hit the trail to check out the views from the highest point in Orange County (5,603 ft), but the SoCal June gloom prevented us from seeing much beyond the ridge top. However, with visibility at only 20 feet at times, we were able to snap some cool pictures.
Total time was about 5 hours after having to help rescue my buddies Discovery. Fun trail and I can't wait to try it on a clear day!
