Tacoma intermittent wipers

I recently bought a 2009 Toyota access cab 4x4 with the convenience package. This is my fifth Tacoma and I've been very happy with each one. I was very disappointed to find, when I got home, the truck does not have intermittent wipers. I should have checked this on the dealer's lot but even the cheapest economy car comes with this feature these days. Is Toyota slipping or is this a ploy to force buyers to a higher package upgrade?
My question is: Is there an aftermarket solution to provide intermittent wipers for this truck or am I stuck doing a slow burn evry time there is light rain or mist?

Assuming nothing has changed with the 09's, all you need is the wiper stalk. Here's all the info w/ instructions:

I bought the stalk and installed it in about 10 minutes ... by far a great investment!
