Default Buy an 09 or wait for 2010?

I need to buy a new Tacoma.
When will the 2010 models come out?
Any big news about updates that aren't just rumors?
What do you expect Toyota will do for rebates and deals on remaining 09 stock?
Thanks.

2010 Tundra's are already on the lot with the new 4.6L... I'd imagine Taco's will be the usual September time-frame. I don't think you'll see anything special for 2010 on the Taco... I'd guess 2011 and there will be an update to the motor...

Can you wait till Sept to November 2009? I have a little 09 Rcab 4wd. It has air bags, side air bags, anti-lock, anti-skid, auto limited slip and a prewired back up camera in the back gate. You will learn to make the back up camera work, it's a $400 aftermarket option for the R-view mirror with monitor. Before a major model change, there will probably not be much difference. But that's pretty nice for a base regular cab. So you see, it all depends if you need it now or can wait.

Since Toyota was buying back mid to late 1990's models at 150% of their value because the frames rusted out, are currently replacing frames on 2000 - 2004 models that have rusted out, and my '05 frame is rusting -- I would say that I would not buy another Tacoma. Nice looking truck though.

The frame rust out issue is very real and I would be equally pissed if I had that issue. I might very well rethink a Tacoma purchase if I lived in the regions that salt the roads in winter. I remember when no car lasted over three years. Imagine financing a car for 5 years, and it was rusted everywhere halfway through the contract. this is OT to the 2009 or 2010 question though. I suppose ZieBart is still doing a brisk business in your aera.
